Dear our beloved keynote speakers and participants,
Thank you so much for being indispensable parts of our first-ever International Symposium on Global South Studies 2024.
It was a rough and interesting ride for us to organize such a huge and cross-disciplinary convention in a dynamic Global South context, Vietnam as the first station of our journey. This year we have co-achieved many milestones:
• 7 keynote speeches
• 46 paper presentations
• 3 workshops
• Shared knowledges across various disciplines
• A global community rooted in the Global South
Your contribution, dedication, and warm energies touched us so much, to be honest. Echoing your positive feedback, we are so glad to help: voicing unconformable voices and visibilities, creating networks among (young) researchers and well-established scholars/researchers, and expanding current studies based on co-feedback and discussions every day during the symposium. Many tears have fallen as we witnessed, but tears are critical to knowledge creation within our collective memories. We treasure all of these feelings, conversations, dedications, and hopes that continue to last beyond time and space in our established communities.
We have nothing more than our wholehearted thankfulness for your scholarship and participation in our Global South Studies Symposium 2024. We wish you all lots of success in your future endeavors as scholars from the Global South thriving with pride and courage.
