“This year’s symposium, themed “Centralizing the South in the Global Context: Troubling What’s Known & Re-imagining What’s Unknown,” is not only an academic endeavor of Thai Binh Duong University but also an important event for the province of Khanh Hoa. These regions are not only heavily influenced by global economic and political shifts but also possess unique potential for development. Therefore, focusing on the study and promotion of knowledge about the Global South in general, and Vietnam in particular, is a vital mission. This symposium holds significance not only for researchers but also for policymakers, international organizations, and society as a whole.”
