Nguyen Thuy Linh

Nguyen Thuy Linh is a Ph.D. student in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Manitoba, Canada. Her area of research is how to create meaningful and transformative human interactions, particularly through facilitated processes. Her work focuses on group dynamics, arts-based therapy, and community-based action research. She also engages with the concepts of internalized oppression, peace journalism, and peace activism, with a particular interest in intercultural grounded approaches to reconciliation in Vietnam. Before entering academia, Linh worked as a journalist and human rights advocate. Since 2021, she has participated in multiple facilitation trainings, including The Circle Way, Art of Hosting, Deep Democracy, and arts-based methods. Most recently, she completed an intensive Circle Process training with Kay Pranis, renowned for her work in restorative justice. In addition to her doctoral research, Linh is a freelancing circle keeper and facilitator.
