After the success of the first webinar on Feminist Theory, warmly received by attendees, VHSSA is pleased to introduce the next webinar, titled Feminist Pedagogical Praxis, featuring guest speaker Dr. Ethan Trinh.

About the Speaker and Webinar Content

Dr. Ethan Trinh (pronouns: they/them) is a queer scholar and educator of Vietnamese origin who was the recipient of the 2022 Leadership Mentoring Program Award from the TESOL International Association. Currently serving on the 2024–2025 Nominating Committee for TESOL International, Dr. Trinh has co-edited five books published by RoutledgeBrill, and TESOL Press. Their research highlights critical storytellingdoctoral student identitymental healthcommunity-building, and allyship for queer individuals.

In this webinar, Dr. Trinh will present current and emerging feminist pedagogical practices that they and their students are studying and implementing in the United States. The session will outline specific strategies to help educators integrate feminist theory into their teaching, fostering diverse and inclusive learning spaces, with a particular emphasis on supporting marginalized communities.

With a spirit of solidarity and mutual support to aid those affected by Typhoon Yagi, webinar participants are asked to contribute a fee of 100,000 VND, which should be transferred directly to the Vietnam Fatherland Front:
